Our Party News

We will give anything a go and it is rare to find a pair of headphones that can not be moded or airbrushed but.... Here are some of our favorites and the reason why.

I will start by covering our own brand headphones. We stock 3 different own brand headphones.

Street - These are our entry level headphones. They have the same body as our OEM DJ headphones but are fitted with a different driver and cable. They are ideal for street wear and portable audio purposes. These normally cost £50-£60GBP.

OEM DJ - These are our own brand DJ headphones. They have excellent sound quality and can handle up to 3000mA of raw DJ power. In other words they are loud enough to melt your face if used with the right equipment. These are our most popular headphones as they offer great sound at a good price. These normally come in around £60-£70GBP

*NEW* JFunk Studio Cans - These are a closed back studio headphones. They give very crisp and detailed sound and dont have the the over blown bass that many DJ headphones have. They have a very comfortable self-adjusting headband and completely cover the ear to block out external noise. These are ideal for remixing, studio work and sound engineering purposes. These can be done in a single colour of your choice for £60 or full design for £70-£80. These are the best sounding headphones in this price range but are not ideal for DJing because the headband is a bit cumbersome.

Because we are not yet a well known brand we are looking for people to write reviews of our own brand headphones. If you want one of our own brand headphones we can offer a 10% cash back if you are willing to write a review of the headphones.

Night Party

The Sennheiser HD280Pro are my personal favorite. The thing I love about these is that they block out all external noise meaning you can mix in bars and clubs without having to have the levels so high it damages your hearing.
They are also very durable. I have abused a pair of these for 7 years and they are still going strong.
The only complaint some people have with these is that they squeeze your head a bit. But I suppose that is the only way to block out the background noise effectively.
Their large body means they lend themselves well to being airbrushed and have plenty of room for any DJ logo.

custom mdr-v700dj

Sony MDR-V700DJ have been one of the most popular DJ headphones for years now. Their success is mainly due to the fact that they are very comfortable and stay on your head nicely when monitoring on one ear due to their spring return swivel hinges.
They also look the part .... They just look cool.
You will notice the similarity between these and our OEM DJ headphones... Well they are an homage to the mighty Sonys.
They have a very bass heavy sound so if you mix on the baseline these are great. That's not to say they don't have lots of detail in the mids and highs but they do favor the bass.
The Laser mod we do on our OEM DJ headphones will also fit these if you fancy something mad.

custom hd25

At the moment the HD25 range are some of the best loved DJ headphones on the market and the HD25-1 MKii are the pinnacle of this range. They are light weight and durable. The sound quality is second to none and they have some really nice features that set them apart. One is that they use a steel cable instead of copper. This makes their elegant thin cable super strong. Another nice feature is that every part of them is user serviceable. If you do manage to break them you can just buy a replacement part and you are back up and rocking again.
You can also get add-ons and upgrades like different cables and pads.
